Alpine Expands 9" Restyle Screen Lineup for Tundra and RAM Truck Owners

The Alpine Restyle program redesigns the driver’s experience in the cockpit of trucks and SUVs. The centerpiece of the program is the X009, a multi-function system with audio, video and navigation features. The X009 has a distinctive 9-inch touch screen, which is the largest full-system screen in the North American aftermarket.

To accommodate the large screen into trucks and SUVs, the X009 is paired with vehicle-specific Alpine Restyle dash kits. Each kit is Alpine engineered for use with a specific vehicle platform with color, finish and shape that matches the factory dash. The kits feature hard keys that fully replace the factory radio knobs. The vehicle-specific kits have back-lit hard keys that match the lighting in the factory instrument cluster. The Alpine Restyle dash systems consists of the X009, matching dash kit and all necessary accessories for plug-and-play installation including an Alpine/vehicle-specific harness, antenna adapter (if necessary) and a two-way, data-driven vehicle interface module.

The X009-RAM for RAM trucks and X009-TND for Tundra trucks are available immediately at authorized Alpine dealers across the country and have a suggested retail price of $3399.00 and $3299.00 respectively.

Custom Designed External Keys for Various Trucks and SUVs
Totally unique to the X009 series are external keys that integrate into the factory radio’s outer bezel. The keys are custom designed with ergonomics and the Alpine style in mind, matching the lighting color and style of specific truck and SUV models.

Included iDatalink® Maestro Module
The X009 Restyle dash system retains many of the factory vehicle controls and features through the included iDatalink® Maestro module, and a dedicated hard key provides access to the iDatalink® features (module not included with the X009-U). Users can choose customized vehicle information (diagnostic data, gauge screen, parking assist screen, etc.) to be viewed on the screen. Examples of factory features that can be retained through the X009 include: OnStar™ from GM, SYNC® from Ford, Uconnect® from Chrysler, SiriusXM, factory amplified system, rear seat entertainment system, HVAC controls, rear view camera and steering wheel controls (retained features and customized vehicle information vary by vehicle model).

TuneIt® 2.0 Sound Tuning and Sharing App
The X009 dash systems are compatible with the Alpine TuneIt® App. This free smartphone app is an easy-to-use sound tuning app which offers Facebook notifications. Users download the app onto their iPhone® or Android™ smartphone and create a user profile with information about themselves, their vehicle and their Alpine sound system. The app allows for adjustments to sound settings (like Time Correction, Parametric EQ and Crossover) for their specific vehicle, or users can choose from the pre-made settings in the database.

Audio Features
The X009-TND and X009-RAM can control various audio sources for a wide range of entertainment choices. They are “Made for iPod and iPhone” compatible and have rear USB access. They are also compatible with SiriusXM satellite radio when used with the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit (sold separately, subscription required).

Video and Navigation Features
The X009 Restyle dash systems have a full WVGA high-resolution screen for crisp, detailed picture quality. The Dual Zone video control lets drivers use a source in the dash while the back seat passengers enjoy a separate video on the rear seat screen (optional screen sold separately). The X009 has an HDMI input for connectivity to HDMI-enabled mobile devices (optional MHL adapter required).
Alpine’s proprietary navigation interface includes pre-loaded maps of the United States, Canada and more than seven million Points of Interest (POIs). Major landmarks, buildings and terrain details for major cities are depicted in 3D. The system comes with free lifetime HERE Traffic RDS service.

Enhanced “My Favorites” Customizable Settings
Both AVN systems have the popular “My Favorites” feature, which lets users customize quick-access screens with up to 80 shortcuts to their most used features. Two separate users can each design up to 10 Favorites page profiles of eight shortcuts per page. Shortcuts can be created for audio sources, navigation commands and phone settings, and they are easily added through the touch of a button on the corresponding source page. If a front or rearview camera is installed in the vehicle, the camera images can be also manually selected on the My Favorites screen.
