Klipsch adds entry-level speaker line to its legendary Reference series
Gentec International, the Canadian distributor of Klipsch speakers and headphones, announces the launch of a new Reference speaker series that includes six passive home theatre speakers and two subwoofers.
The new Reference speakers join the renowned Reference II series, offering similar advanced acoustic engineering and industrial design. The new Reference series represents the entry level in what will be a tiered approach to Klipsch’s Reference home theatre speaker collection to be completed in 2015.
Klipsch Reference speakers feature a brushed black polymer veneer finish to look great in any environment. They are equipped with exclusive Tractrix® Horn technology and Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) aluminum tweeters that produce impressive high-end response and powerful dynamics for clean, natural sound. Their LTS tweeters have been a hallmark in previous Reference generations, as well as the flagship Palladium Series, and ensure minimized distortion for enhanced, detailed performance. Injection Molded Graphite woofers provide remarkable low-frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion.
The Klipsch Reference subwoofers feature high performance, front-firing drivers that provide deep bass and placement flexibility. Their Injection Molded Graphite woofers are exceptionally light, yet extremely rigid, to provide remarkable low-frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion. The built-in, all-digital amplifier also delivers ample power with high efficiency and true-to-source accuracy in reproduction.
The Reference sound signature is what makes people passionate about the Klipsch brand, allowing listeners to experience the power, detail and emotion of their music and movies, as if they are being heard or seen for the first time. Because of this, Klipsch will align the majority of their products within the legendary Reference Series. The new approach unifies Klipsch’s speaker, soundbar and headphone series, making the superior sonic signature attainable to a wider audience at various price points. These tiered levels of home theatre speakers, soundbars and headphones are precision-engineered and meet the brand’s high-quality acoustic and design standards.
The Klipsch Reference series consists of two floorstanding towers (R-28F and R-26F, with suggested retail prices of $599 each and $499 each, respectively), one monitor (R-15M, $349 SRP pair), one centre channel (R-25C, $349 SRP each), and one surround (R-14S, $379 SRP pair). The line’s subwoofers include the R-10SW and R-12SW, with suggested retail prices of $499 each and $649 each, respectively. The Klipsch Reference Series speakers and subwoofers will be available in Canada in mid September 2014.
