Klipsch introduces the first soundbars under the legendary Reference name
Gentec International, the Canadian distributor of Klipsch speakers and headphones, announces the launch of the Klipsch Reference R-10B and R-20B soundbars.
The same advanced acoustic engineering and industrial design from the brand’s original Reference home theatre line inspires the performance and design of the new soundbars.
The Reference soundbars deliver the high level of performance and value consumers expect from Klipsch products. They deliver on Klipsch’s promise to create powerful, detailed, and emotional listening experiences, while offering users the conveniences of plug-and-play audio and instant streaming using Bluetooth® wireless technology.
The two-way soundbars boast premium drivers, two lightweight ¾-inch horn-loaded textile dome tweeters for distinctive high-frequency detail, and two (R-10B) or four (R-20B) 3-inch polypropylene woofers that round out the enhanced sound with crisp vocal and dynamic soundtracks. The tweeters are coupled with Klipsch-exclusive Tractrix® Horns to reduce distortion and increase dispersion more directly to the main listening area. Included with the soundbar is an 8-inch (R-10B) or 10-inch (R-20B) side-firing wireless subwoofer that is housed in an MDF cabinet with a slot-port design for a deep, powerful bass. The subwoofer pairs automatically with the soundbar using its sophisticated wireless technology.
The Reference soundbars are compatible with most Bluetooth®-enabled devices and offer aptX™ audio coding technology for lossless, high-quality music streaming. The Dolby® Digital Decoder allows the soundbars to automatically reproduce detailed, high-quality sound no matter what format of sound is coming from the television’s
output. Removable feet and supplied keyhole mounts provide placement flexibility for the soundbar, which can be mounted to a wall or placed in front of the television.
The introduction of the new soundbars is part of Klipsch’s Reference Unity strategy, a global initiative that will align the majority of Klipsch products within their legendary Reference Series. The new approach unifies their speaker, soundbar and headphone series, making their superior sonic signature attainable to a wider audience at various price points. These tiered levels of home theatre speakers, soundbars and headphones are precision-engineered and meet the brand’s high-quality acoustic and design standards.
The Klipsch Reference R-10B soundbar has a suggested retail price of $749; the R-20B will retail for $899. The Klipsch Reference R-10B soundbar will be available in Canada in October. The Klipsch Reference R-20B soundbar will be available in Canada in November.
