Gentec introduces the Sigma 50-200mm F4-5.6 DC OS HSM telephoto zoom lens with optical stabilizer
Gentec International is pleased to announce the new Sigma 50-200mm F4-5.6 DC OS HSM compact, high-performance telephoto zoom lens featuring Sigma’s optical stabilization (OS) function. Sigma’s innovative OS system provides effective compensation for camera shake, allowing the use of shutter speeds up to four stops slower than normal for steady, handheld telephoto photography. And as the only manufacturer of stabilized lenses for Pentax and Sony, Sigma offers an effective alternative for those camera bodies equipped with their own built-in stabilization function. Because compensation for camera shake is visible in the viewfinder, Sigma’s OS system lets the photographer easily check for accurate focus and ensure there is no subject movement. This lens incorporates Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass in the front lens group to provide high image quality throughout the entire zoom range. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting to ensure high contrast images. The use of a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) ensures quiet, high-speed auto focusing. An inner focusing system eliminates front lens rotation, making the lens suitable for use with circular polarizing filters. The suggested retail price of the Sigma 50-200mm F4-5.6 DC OS HSM lens is $499.95.
